Leveraging a new and growing X: Why I’m doing an X Spaces for Founders

Twitter/X Spaces, the audio-based format on Twitter/X, has been gaining significant popularity as a space for meaningful conversations and knowledge sharing, especially during web3 days. As an avid observer of this, I had spent considerable time participating in various Twitter Spaces discussions, particularly those centered around NFTs. However, I hesitated to host my own Space, unsure of its potential and direction during web3 and slightly afterwards when Elon took over Twitter.

After careful consideration, I have come to realize that now is the opportune moment to leverage this powerful tool. In this Medium post, I would like to share my motivations behind hosting my first Twitter Space and how it aligns with the evolving landscape of value creation and community engagement.

Recent developments, notably Elon Musk’s strategy, have shed light on the trajectory of X. Elon’s vision of empowering value creators and allowing them to capture that value is evident from the monetization opportunities now available on the platform, such as the ad revenue share program. Additionally, Elon’s pursuit of a banking license for X in Georgia demonstrates his commitment to expanding the platform’s capabilities and encouraging more content creation, including long-form video. These developments indicate that X is investing in the growth and success of its creators, making this an ideal time to venture into hosting X Spaces.

it’s now even easier to make money (though I still can’t!)

So now, more than ever, is the ideal time to venture into hosting my first X Spaces. The increasing number of users flocking to the X platform presents a unique opportunity for meaningful discussions and connections. The expanding ecosystem of creators and enthusiasts means that X Spaces have the potential to become vibrant communities where founders and entrepreneurs can seek guidance, share insights, and collaborate with like-minded individuals. Furthermore, content creators, not only us the hosts but also the founders that come on the Spaces, will be able to have further impressions and monetise their presence.

In hosting my first X Space, I intend to leverage my expertise in helping founders and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of their businesses. Over the years, at accelerators and funds Techstars, Zeroth.AI Team and Nalu and in life with the United States Army, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in over 500 early stage businesses. I can provide practical advice on strategy, marketing, finance, and operations, and offer valuable insights to those who join the Space. This targeted approach ensures that participants receive tailored support while maximizing the impact of the discussions.

I am thrilled to collaborate with fellow host John, a marketing guru, who shares a passion for supporting founders and entrepreneurs. By combining our expertise and perspectives, we aim to create a dynamic and engaging experience for participants. Together, we will delve into various topics relevant to founders, addressing their challenges, and sharing actionable strategies for success.

Together, we can forge meaningful connections, share insights, and shape how founders can grow on an exciting new platform. Together — we can create a platform that everybody benefits and monetises. Join us this Sunday!
